Manchester Maccabi 2nd claimed a battling point after recording a 2-2 draw against Mundo in their latest Manchester Accountants League Division One game.
Ben Annis marked his debut with a stunning 25-yard strike as Martin Simons’ men got a deserved reward for their performance.
Ben Brownson impressed on his debut, while Rafi Lewis and Richard Buxton both excelled against a Mundo side beaten just once this season.
“We had a young and inexperienced side due to losing players to the first team but we competed well,” said boss Simons.
“Ben Brownson was great on his debut and Ben Annis scored an excellent goal.”
Elsewhere, Leeds Maccabi 2nd slumped to a seventh successive league defeat after going down 6-0 against Temple FC.
Simon Fisher’s men have scored just five times this season and conceded 43 in their seven games so far this season in the Leeds Sunday Alliance Division One.
