JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- DANIEL FATTAL (ML Lions B) - his goal last week was good, but this was even better. He picked the ball up wide on the left, jinked in and out to beat three defenders and smash the ball past the keeper from 25 yards. Stunning

- RICHIE CAPLIN (Redbridge JC B) - Wonder goal 40 yards half-volley - struck into the top left-hand corner, unsavable! Probably one of the best goals he will ever score in his career

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- ADAM GLEKIN (Hendon B) - "many thanks to the referee for blowing the full-time whistle about 10 minutes early and sparing us all from the thunderstorm"

- DARYL KAY (Woodford) - "As bad as we were, Brixton were worse, and that's saying something because we were terrible!"

- ROB RICHMAN (North London Raiders A) - "Redbridge, along with Oakwood, are our closest competitors and we have great respect for both sides. Redbridge have a lot of talented players and I am not surprised to see them fighting right at the top of the table. We knew we'd have to be somewhere close to our best today to get a result and our first half performance was really top quality"

- JON JACOBS (Redbridge Jewish Care A) - "I have no doubt that my strongest team would have given Raiders a good run for their money but am proud of the achievements we have attained this season. We are an exciting and developing side and just need some more depth in the squad to challenge over a sustained period"

REAL HENDON A BOCA JEWNIORS A
(Match abandoned at half-time due to hail, with Real leading 5-0)

Boca's Anton Nyman told JC Sport: "The players all got the memo about the clocks going forwards, unfortunately the ref didn't - so the friends and family committee stepped in and played ref for the first half hour. It's a shame we couldn't restart the game at that point from. 2-0 down. The score did us no justice in the howling wind and rain; and silly mistakes cost us dearly. They caught us on the counter attack on numerous occasions and we couldn't capitalise on the attacks we had."
