Eliran Atar's scissors kick in Bnei Yehuda's 1-1 draw with Maccabi Netanya was voted fourth in the FIFA Puskas award for the best goal of the 2008/09 season. Cristian Ronaldo won the award for his long-range thunderbolt for Manchester United against Porto in the Champions League in April.

Speaking in Switzerland after the award ceremony Atar said, "If I was more famous maybe I would have won."
