MGBSFL PREMIER DIVISION
FAITHFOLD DOCMM WHITE 1 FAIRLOP FC 2
Fairlop played the opening ten minutes with ten men, due to a shortage of players and then played two lots of ten-minute spells with nine men, due to three separate sin-bins but they still managed to come away with three points against the Superhoops.
Rosen opened the scoring before Rubin doubled Fairlop's advantage with a simply stunning strike - he needed only two touches on the edge of the box, the second a thunderous volley that flew into the top right-corner.
Fairlop's Jake Sanders told JC Sport: "I don't even know where to start, but this was special, even considering all what we've achieved in our short history.
"I couldn't physically ask for anymore from the boys. Special mentions to Max Pincus, Nathan Davis and Mitchell Gold, who were all colossal and then our stand-in goalkeeper Ryan Cole, who produced a sensational one-handed save onto the bar from point-blank range at a crucial stage in the game.
"The game shouldn't have been as close as it was in the final stages as an unfortunate decision went against us late on, but credit to the referee, who despite being card-happy, by no means disgraced himself under some difficult conditions."
