MLL's goals came through Josh Moses and Nick Landsberg.

Hendon's Greg Corin told JC Sport: "Lions are a good young side who approached the game today with a committed attitude, but we had a lot of quality and experience on the pitch today and it told.

"Despite a couple of uncharacteristic lapses of concentration in defence which lead to their goals, we were in control of the game and should have really scored a few more.

"We wish Lions well for the rest of the season and I'm sure they'll develop into a very strong side in future seasons if they can keep their players together.

"For us, it's another three points and we look forward to the business end of this season where we'll hopefully come away with some honours."

Lions boss Jamie Kyte told JC Sport: "We were in it for 70 minutes and had a great chance to make it 3-3 after 60.

"With such a good defence I wasn't expecting us to get any goals but we got two and could have got more.

"Josh Moses got his first goal for the club which was great to see."
