Danny Caro's Prem Div TOTW: February 21

articlemain

Here are the top performers from the top-flight on Matchday 23 of the MGBSFL.

1. JONNY BLAIN (Oakwood A) - another clean sheet for JB in the Anekstein semi-final against Hendon. Made one error in 90 minutes, but claimed an assist for the opener, kicked well, as you'd expect, and made one smart save. The only negative was that jersey!

2. ALEX LEE (Oakwood A) - "a rock at the back and probably my man of the match"

3. ADAM KLEIN (ML Lions A) - the best player on the pitch against Harmen, according to the man himself!

4. JOSH PISTOL (NL Raiders A) - "since David Rhodes has been out injured, Pistol has stepped up playing two games across the weekend. His performance on Sunday was exemplary, really top class centre back showing. Dominant in the air but also super on the ball too"

5. KYLE BENTWOOD (Oakwood A) - "first time we have been able to play him in his preferred DCM position against Hendon. He won the battle against Ari Last"

6. BRAD WINE (Oakwood A) - the engine room of the team. Capped an industrious performance with a well-taken finish - the icing on the cake

7. BEN JOSEPH (NL Raiders A) - "the bigger the occasion the better Ben J plays. By far his best performance of the season. Integral to everything good from a Raiders perspective and such amazing ability to create the third goal"

8. RICKY ENGLEMAN (NL Raiders A) - "scored in every game in 2016, six goals in five games all from centre midfield. But brings so much more to the field than just goals. Supplements the creative Joseph and the deep lying Kay expertly"

9. JORDAN MARKS (NL Raiders A) - "not much more left to say about Jordan. The best player in the league this season"

10. DANIEL GARFINKLE (Redbridge JC A) - "even with a full complement, Camden would not have been able to live with his pace and two of the goals were worldies - a great performance from our leading scorer"

11. SAM CANTOR (Oakwood A) - "another really good performance up front and more goals for his tally" before injury forced him off

MANAGERS: Dan Kristall & Ric Blank (Oakwood A)
