A half century from Jerome Roith helped Casual Nomads beat Thespian Thunders by 74 runs.

Roith (54) and captain Richard Ferrer (44) were the mainstays of the Nomads innings which ended on 171.

The father and son team of Andy (3-12) and Nick Landesberg (3-20) kept TT on the back foot as they were dismissed for 91.

Ferrer said: “We looked 30 runs light at tea but some fabulous bowling - particularly from Andy Landesberg (3-12) and his son Nick who took five between them - saw us home with plenty to spare.”

An impressive knock from Mikey Tilles (83) could not stop Downsiders (194) from a heavy defeat against LACC 276-4).
