Having seen the the mention of a new book in last week's JC, 'House of life: Jewish Cemeteries of Europe' by Joachim Jacobs, I did a google to track down where to order it and in the process found this site http://www.lo-tishkach.org/en/
They say: The Lo Tishkach Foundation European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative aims to guarantee the effective and lasting preservation and protection of Jewish cemeteries and mass graves throughout the European continent.
A truely vast but extremely necessary task. Their database already contains over 6,000 listings from 26 European countries. They ask that if you have visited a Jewish cemetery in Europe or have further info on any that they have listed use the update form found here http://www.lo-tishkach.org/en/index.php?categoryid=16
I also found the book I wanted on Amazon and pre-ordered it!
