Role Summary
We are seeking an energetic, persuasive, and target-driven sales Executive to join our commercial team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling print and digital advertising solutions across our portfolio of products/services which include print, website, newsletters, and events. You will build strong relationships with clients, understand their marketing needs, and deliver tailored advertising packages that help them reach their target audiences. The role will nurture client relationships and identify fresh opportunities within the Jewish and wider UK advertising market.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound and face-to-face sales calls to new and existing clients to promote advertising opportunities across print, digital and events platforms.
- Develop a strong understanding of our publications, online offerings, and industry events to effectively present solutions.
- Identify client needs and propose advertising packages that align with their marketing and campaign objectives.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation, pitching, and negotiation to closing sales and after-sales follow-up.
- Maintain and grow a portfolio of advertisers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Record all sales activity, client interactions, and pipeline updates in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with editorial and events teams to ensure smooth delivery of advertising commitments.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven success in advertising sales or a similar role (preferably within publishing, media or events) .
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Confident phone manner and ability to deliver compelling sales pitches.
- Highly motivated, target-driven, and resilient.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and standard office software.
- Understanding of digital advertising (web, email, social media) is highly desirable (awareness of key metrics used to assess value).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen.
- Passion for the Jewish community and understanding of its unique audience.
