Simon Marks Jewish Primary School in Hackney has picked up another gold award - this time for sustainable travel.
Earlier this year it was rewarded by the Mayor of London for promoting a healthy lifestyle among pupils.
Now Transport for London has recognised it as one of 12 schools deserving of a gold award for its travel policy.
Syed Gilani, healthy school co-ordinator at Simon Marks, said, “We’ve worked tirelessly with our year-six junior road safety Officers to promote cleaner air and safer, healthier modes of travel.”
A road safety week and cycling proficiency training are just two of the initiatives.
Gold-star schools expect to cut car trips to school by at least 12 per cent.
Headteacher Gulcan Metin Asdoyuran said she was proud of her pupils for embracing “the healthier modes of travel, which improves their emotional health and wellbeing”.
