A small Chasidic primary has shown it is possible for Stamford Hill schools to get on the right side of Ofsted by jumping from inadequate to a good rating in little over a year and a half.

Governors of Talmud Torah London for boys had significantly improved the secular curriculum and acted to ensure that all independent school standards were met, Ofsted said.

The school, which has 38 pupils aged from five to nine, recently added a new Year Four class and moved to a new site.

TTL’s leaders had worked hard to balance the demands of the secular curriculum with Jewish studies, resulting in pupils achieving well in a range of subjects which included arts, PE, history, geography and technology, Ofsted said.
