An exhibition of Jewish schoolchildren’s work to celebrate Israel’s 70th anniversary is to go display at the JW3 centre in London next month.

The items have been inspired by objects in ten Israeli museums, which children have been studying over the past few months to explore the country’s culture and history.

Initiated by LooktoLearn, which specialises in using museums and galleries as resources for Jewish studies, and run in association with Partnerships for Jewish Schools (Pajes), the project has involved around 6,500 children.

Pupils from 33 primary and secondary schools submitted contributions to the exhibition, which will run at JW3 from April 15 to 22; it will then enjoy a longer display in Israel at the Babylonian Jewish Heritage Centre in Or Yehuda, one of the chosen museums, from May 29 to the end of August.
