Ofsted wowed by outstanding Charedi nursery

BYPN in Hendon has 'exceptionally high expectations'

A Charedi nursery in Hendon has been highly praised by Ofsted, earning an outstanding grade in all categories.

BYPN, which takes boys and girls from the age of two, had “exceptionally high expectations” of its children, who showed “tremendously high levels of independence” and impeccable behaviour, the visiting inspector said.

“Children run enthusiastically into the setting, eager to begin their day”.

They showed empathy for others when they were sad and took turns with others without needing prompting.

Staff were skilled at modelling language and capturing children’s imagination. Children “demonstrate their understanding of familiar stories, such as The Three Little Pigs by acting them out independently using small-world construction materials and animals”.

The “extremely well-designed” curriculum ensured very good progress.

Lipi Werjuka, BYPN director, said, ‘‘We’re delighted by this result at our first inspection.”
