The deputy head of North West London Jewish Day School, Yosh Radomsky, has won a coveted silver prize in the Pearson National Teaching Awards.

Honoured as one of the primary teachers of the year, he will now go through to the finals later this year when the gold awards are announced.

Mr Radmosky, who joined North-West’s senior leadership team six years ago as assistant headteacher, is leaving the Willesden school to become head of the Independent Jewish Day School in Hendon in September.

During the year he introduced the North West Awards at the school to encourage character development among pupils.

North-West’s head Judith Caplan said, “Mr. Radomsky’s impact on teaching and learning, along with his unwavering dedication to personal development, has been truly exceptional. His outstanding teaching and leadership have played an integral role in the success of our school.”

*Meanwhile, it was a clean sweep for North-West at the Etgar Challenge this year with teams from the primary taking gold, silver and bronze in the main quiz.
