King David High School in Manchester is on course to complete the redevelopment of its campus next summer with a new building for the Yavneh girls’ stream.
The government will contribute £2 million to the £2.2 million building, providing more space for facilities.
The main King David school moved into a new building in 2009, followed seven years later by the opening of a new home for Yavneh Boys, which like the equivalent girls’ branch offers a more intensive religious studies programme.
“Yavneh Girls has been around since 1990 and was housed in an old building which the girls loved, but it was time for a new one,” said King David chairman Joshua Rowe.
“The building will be completed in August 2021 and there will then be a magnificent building which matches our magnificent girls.”
