The London School of Jewish Studies has received approval to offer its BA in Jewish education as an online option.

Prospective students can still register this month for the part-time four-year degree, accredited by Middlesex University, which begins after Succot.

LSJS’s MA in Jewish education has been available online since 2017, enabling students from outside London to take advantage.

The BA, which attracts from seven to 15 students annually, will continue to be taught in person but now it can be taken as a distance learning course too.

During lockdown, the Hendon-based college moved its teaching online as a temporary measure.

Joanne Greenaway, LSJS chief executive, said, “One of the real positives of Zoom delivery is that we can now open our BA up to so many more students.”

Helena Miller, director of degrees, was delighted that “we are able to offer our BA for students to access from wherever they are”.
