JFS got into virtual rhythm this week when it moved its annual music festival online.

It may not have been able to hold the usual programme of recitals this year but adapted with concerts broadcast over social media.

A dozen staff and 30 students joined voices for a recording of Somewhere Over the Rainbow – described as “an anthem of hope in a time of trouble” – arranged by JFS graduate Ben Fingerhut to launch the event.

Rachel Fink, headteacher said: “Music is at the heartbeat of the school and it is a real tribute to the talent and commitment of our staff and students that they have been able to produce such a creative and memorable festival this year”.
