Boys from Hasmonean High School are to take part in a pilot interfaith project at the Arsenal football ground next month.
They will join students of other faiths from East Barnet School in a programme backed by Partnerships for Jewish Schools. Along with a tour of the Emirates stadium, they will get to play some football and learn about each other’s faiths.
“They will then be split into small groups of three to four to discuss a festival of one of our main religions — Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Sikh, Hindu, Buddhism — and create a presentation, which they will deliver to primary schools during Interfaith Week later in November,” explained Pajes special projects manager Marni Levy. “That will take place as well at the Arsenal Community Hub at the Emirates.
