Clore Shalom, the cross-communal primary in Shenley, says it has enjoyed a 30 per cent improvement in Sats results over the past two years.
This summer 80 per cent of children left school having achieved the expected standard in reading, writing and maths - compared with 52 per cent in 2017.
Since the arrival of its new headteacher, deputy head and assistant head over the past two and a half years, the schools says it has moved from below average in 2017 to well above it.
Headteacher Karen Cohen said, “It has been a tough couple of years, but these results are testament to the hard work that has been put in by the entire teaching staff and the pupils themselves.
“To be achieving standards that are so significantly higher than the national and county averages, places us as one of the best performing primary schools in the area.”
Official Sats results are published by the Department for Education towards the end of the year.
