The Jewish Arts Family Fun Day in Glasgow incorporated the Scottish launch of the PJ Library, which provides children with free monthly books of Jewish interest.
An interactive storyteller brought to life the story of A Hat for Mrs Goldman and, connected to the book, children engaged in pom-pom-making crafts. There was also an interactive illustration workshop.
Sara Kibel, community manager at PJ Library, said more than 70 children in Scotland had been signed up to the service “and we hope this event will ensure people spread the word to friends. We welcome all Jewish Scottish families with children aged eight years and under to sign up.”
The Scottish launch has been supported by the the Netherlee and Clarkston Charitable Trust and the Glasgow Jewish Community Trust.
