Cambridge University triumphed for the second year running in the UJS Jewniversity Challenge quiz.
Home team Cambridge beat finalists Bristol, Nottingham, St Andrews and London Egal with a score of 365. Bristol came in second with 250 points, followed by Nottingham with 170.
Students battled it out over questions on world religions, technology and geography. Specialist rounds chosen by the teams included TV show The Simpsons and the films of Quentin Tarantino.
Sixteen teams had taken part in four regional heats in Scotland, Birmingham, Bristol and London.
