UJS picks new president

Daniel Grabiner has been elected as next year's president of the Union of Jewish Students.

The 21-year-old Leeds University student, who ran on the slogan "Grabiner - Making UJS currant", won by 258 votes to 90. He takes over from current chair Alex Dwek in July.

Mr Grabiner said he was "elated and in shock" at his win.

"I've been thinking about this for so long – I can't believe it's happening.
