A sixth-former will be telling Channel 4 viewers what a teenage girl has to do to observe Shabbat.
But North London Collegiate pupil Isabella Lenga, 16, will be unable to watch tonight's programme - because of her Shabbat observance.
Isabella, from Barnet, was one of five teenagers chosen to speak for five minutes on a topic important to them, having been recommended to the programme makers by FZY.
She was given three options: "Keeping Shabbat and how it affects me as a young girl; the importance of Jerusalem and the Arab-Israeli conflict. I picked Shabbat because it was the easiest to speak about and the least controversial.
"I talked about the 39 prohibitions and how they are brought into everyday life. They were fascinated by the fact that we could not tear toilet paper or use electricity. I also talked about Gilad Shalit.
"Though the programme is only five minutes long, it took about five hours to record. In the end I really enjoyed doing it."
