More than 100 people attended a tribute evening for Glasgow stalwart Judith Tankel. Mrs Tankel, who died in a car crash in 2006, was the first woman to become president of the Glasgow Representative Council and was often called "Glasgow's leading lady". She served on a variety of organisations, Jewish and non-Jewish. The theme of the event, held at Newton Mearns Synagogue, was "Challenging Relationships in our Time". Keynote speaker Lady Jakobovits spoke about her "10 commandments for a happy marriage".
