TV fans are in for a treat this autumn, with a string of tourist trails to tie in with several hit shows. This summer has seen the cast of Broadchurch back in West Bay, Dorset, filming the third and final series.
And Visit Dorset has created its own free trail covering some of the key locations used so far, from West Cliff and Harbour Cliff Beach to the Jurassic Pier and Harbour, as well as Hooke Woods. Visitors can even spot some of the characters’ homes, the fictional police station and the surrounding countryside.

A ‘peak’ at birmingham gangsters
Fans of Peaky Blinders, which tells the story of a gangster family in 1920s Birmingham, should snap up tickets for this autumn’s Peaky Tours, with dates already selling out.
Starting at the Rainbow Pub, where the programme’s name was coined, it is led by University of Birmingham history professor Carl Chinn, who offers an insight into the city at the turn of the 19th century. From £29.95. peakytours.com
Follow Poldark across Cornwall
Poldark is back on September 4 for its long-awaited second series, with a third season filming in Cornwall as well.
