Students celebrated Yom Tov in succahs erected on campuses, at student unions and by chaplains and the Union of Jewish Students.

Nottingham Chabad provided nearly 2,000 pieces of sushi at a party attended by around 130 students. One of the city’s top sushi chefs prepared food for the evening, organised by Rabbi Mendy Lent.

At London’s Imperial College, JSoc set up a succah on the campus in an attempt to attract new members and educate non-Jewish students about the festival.

JSoc president Noah Nathan said: “It was lovely to have a succah placed in a prime location on campus for all the students to come and celebrate Succot together.”
