Look out for this man. He goes by the name of Guru Popolini, aka, the world's number one success sage, or, as he puts it, "sucksess" sage. But don't be fooled. For he is a satirical character created by comedy actor Steve Trister.
Mr Trister, 30, came up with the alter ego to send up the growing number of what he calls success experts.
Guru Popolini will officially be launched at Sucksessville 2011 - a spoof seminar run by Mr Trister on November 29. But he is already proving a YouTube hit. Mr Trister tells People: "I had been on a course for some personal development stuff and then I woke up one day and thought: 'This is crazy. What am I doing with my life?' So I guess the Guru was born out of frustration really.
"The style is very spoof - it's a bit like David Brent. Some people think he is real."
Mr Trister hopes the character could become as popular as Sacha Baron Cohen's Ali G and Borat. Following the seminar, Mr Trister plans to do a television show. His target market is business people who may be familiar with motivational speakers.
He –- and Mr Popolini -– live in Essex.
