South Manchester relinquished their grasp on the Manchester Handicup after failing to overturn a two-goal deficit against Sporting.

With the visitors, who play in the league below given a two-goal start, South were unable to pull through as they surrendered their crown following an action-packed encounter.

Adam Lavin netted a hat-trick to put South in pole position, but Sporting hit back to level on aggregate with a fine free-kick.
