An Israeli Simon and Garfunkel tribute act helped Pinner Synagogue's Israel Action Group to raise almost £5,000 for the Israel Guide Dog Centre for the Blind. Performers Larry Fogel and Moni Arnon drew a sell-out audience of 460 to Harrow Arts Centre, interspersing their songs with Simon and Garfunkel stories. The proceeds will go towards funding the group's second guide dog and the training of its potential owner - one of Israel's 20,000 registered blind.
