Comedian and actor David Schneider entertained more than 30 Jewish students at a comedy evening in Liverpool.

The event, hosted by Chabad, saw Mr Schneider perform a routine of Jewish jokes. He is best known for his roles in The Day Today and I'm Alan Partridge.

Rabbi Shmuli Brown, Chabad's Liverpool universities chaplain, and his wife Tzivia transformed their home into a mini-theatre, complete with buffet, refreshments and music.

Mr Schneider picked out individual students from the audience to join in with his routine, which the singing of a Yiddish rendition of Frank Sinatra's New York, New York.
