Scarlett Johansson has admitted she's "embarrassed" over the media coverage of her email exchange with presidential hopeful Barack Obama. In an interview with politico.com in June, the actress had spoken of an email conversation with Obama - but he later declared that she did not even have his email address, and that he had merely replied to a note forwarded by his PA. The stunning actress has said: "It was manipulated into such an unfortunate media frenzy. It's actually a non-story." She branded it "the product of extreme sexism" and she said that had she been a man there would have been no fuss. Johansson is getting used to being left red-faced. The actress - who has topped many a "sexiest woman" poll - was quizzed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno over her recent saucy cover story in Cosmopolitan. She declared: "Somebody asked me one time what my sexual fantasy would be and under the guise of sounding crazy I said it would be having sex in a car. But that seemed kind of conservative to me afterwards." Leno took the opportunity to offer her one of his massive collection of classic cars to make her fantasy into a reality - but the appalled actress retorted: "Jesus Christ... what is going on?" Oh, the trials and tribulations of being one of the world's favourite hotties.

- Guests at Madonna's big birthday bash last weekend may have thought they were celebrating Madge's 50th, but the Material Girl herself had other ideas. According the Daily Mirror, Kabbalistic experts have calculated her spiritual age to be just 36. That sounds much better, doesn't it? Meanwhile, guests who attended the do at London Club Volstead tucked into kosher burgers made from hyper-expensive wagyu beef (the cows which produce it are massaged daily and given beer to drink). However, Madge was still thinking of her non-kosher friends - there was a caviar mountain. We wonder whether there was any pickled herring?

- Lindsay Lohan is reportedly thinking about becoming Jewish. Sources close to the actress say she has been learning about the faith through her girlfriend, Samantha Ronson (Mark Ronson's sister), and is considering a conversion so they could have a Jewish ceremony if they were to marry.

- As for Mark Ronson, according to the News of the World he has been banging on to his mates about the £800 phone bill he received following overseas calls to his girlfriend, Agent Provocateur model Daisy Lowe. He really could do with some advice from the JC's Money Mensch - hasn't he heard of Skype?
