Sarah grew up in Stamford Hill and took business management and education studies at the University of North London and Middlesex University. Gavin is from Southgate and studied property valuation and finance at City of London University. She is a community development worker for the Jewish Care/Nightingale South London project. He is director of a West Hampstead investment agency brokerage. Their home is in West Hampstead but they would like to move further out — preferably to live on a farms.

How they met
“Through family,” Sarah says. “My aunt and Gavin’s mum are friends and after years of persuasion, Gavin finally managed to pluck up the courage to phone – but he hung up when my dad Benny answered. We eventually went out for drinks in Islington, but unfortunately his car was trashed by vandals. I left days later for a summer in Israel and the relationship blossomed when I returned.”
