Jewish Care's Redbridge Community Centre is the newest member of a partnership involving other centres in America and Israel. Representatives have just returned from a fact-finding visit to Staten Island's Jewish Community Centre. Robin Jacobs, Jewish Care's service manager for community centres, said the exchange was "a great opportunity to share experiences and good practice". Both the Americans and a visiting Israeli community centre chief were particularly interested "in how we engage people in leadership programmes and about volunteer programmes".
