Orange blossom honey baklava

This baklava is simple to make and utterly delicious .

Cook: 50 - 60 minutes

Serves: 20

Some of the components can be prepared a day ahead, so all you need to do on the day is assemble and bake. It keeps well for a week, covered with cling-film at room temperature but do not refrigerate or it will become soggy.

Ingredients

Filling

150g pistachios

150g hazelnuts

150g pecans

1 orange, grated zest

½ tsp cinnamon

1 pack filo pastry, approx.350g or 20 sheets

150-200g salted butter, melted

 

Syrup

300g caster sugar

300ml water

120g honey

2 tbsp orange blossom water
