Around 30 members of The Fed’s monthly coffee-stop get-togethers were treated to a pre-Shavuot tea party by pupils of North Cheshire Primary School. The Fed’s Altrincham-based south branch holds coffee stops for up to 20 older and often isolated people from as far and wide as Wythenshawe, Sale, Bramhall and Didsbury. Volunteer co-ordinator Lynne Hammond said: “The kids had worked so hard. We cannot thank them enough.”
