I'm a GBBO-phile. I can't get enough of the floury fun and was actually shrieking with every biscuity mishap during week 2, whilst holding my head in my hands.
I don't have a favourite competitor — several make me smile — but I do have my suspicions as to who will go the distance.
What did strike me tonight, when we had our sneaky peek into Stacey's world, is that she's just like me. From the daily grind of packed lunches to the busy, notice-packed pin board in her kitchen. That's my life too. Mine and many thousands of mums of primary school age offspring.
The mum of three boys, who gets her girly kicks with blingy bakes, lives a parallel life to me. I love a heavy dose of glitter on my bakes. Who cares that Paul Hollywood doesn't relish a mouthful of metal — it looks pretty and lifts the mood. I cheered for her when Hollywood and Prue Leith pronounced the blingy biscuits to be delicious and gave her a "Well Done".
