At last, the day has arrived. From today, the Kindle is officially available to UK readers.
I've had a Kindle for just over a year, and it is the single best gadget I own - I'd even rank it above my iPhone. But Amazon did everything possible to stop me having it. I had to buy it in the US, register it to a US credit card, and go through a convoluted mechanism to purchase books.
No more! From today, UK readers can purchase Kindles from amazon.com and download books with ease. All I can say is: hurrah!
