I'm afraid I'm never the first with the Michael Jackson news, so I've only just thought about our story that Rabbi Shmuley Boteach is to publish transcripts of his 30 hours of conversations with the deceased pop star. Or, as the book sitle puts it:
The Michael Jackson Tapes: A Tragic Icon Reveals His Soul In Intimate Conversation
It's the 'intimate conversation' which gives the game away. These conversations were private. And a rabbi - a rabbi! - is making them public.
As Hadley Freeman puts it, Rabbi Boteach had a
...touching wait for his "dear friend" to die before grave-robbing him.
