In this week's JC, Finkelstein writes that anti-Semitism is inherent in most people...it is, he asserts, a "deep-rooted human characteristic."
Hardly. It pops up here and there. Mainly, today, from radical Moslem groups and a few conspiracy theorists, led by the likes of Lyndon Larouche, who like to blame their financial woes on someone other than themselves (see previous post here).
Finkelstein's comment may, however, add fuel to the fire and be used by anti-Semites, it hardly serves any good purpose, it seems intended to instil fear in people. A rational rebuttal of anti-Semitism is the best approach, but to accuse the world at large of such attitudes is hardly wise.
