In that conversation they’ll be able to assess whether or not any further services are needed and will follow up.

The boxes are being packed up at Head Room Café — the mental health café in Golders Green — which has to close its doors to visitors at points during the pandemic, but which was still providing an online programme of events and groups supporting personal and communal wellbeing.

I shared a sneaky preview box with my children, who were delighted. Smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels for me and cream cheese-filled bagels for them, plus mini, jam-filled doughnuts and pretzels; yoghurt raisins and chocolate-coated strawberries went down very well. We’ve saved our Chanukah candles for the big day(s) but, having completed our warm up, are on track for celebrating our festival of light in style.
