There is a tendency within the community to be ever so slightly patronising towards charities such as Norwood and Jewish Care, taking them for granted as old friends who are always there for us.
They may be that — but they are also national leaders in their fields, who set and meet standards that others can only dream about. It should go without saying that we are lucky to have them; but we will say it, nonetheless.
