This week we focus on two men, one in his eighties, the other aged 99, whose lives provide inspiration for younger generations. Ben Helfgott survived the Nazis, found refuge in the Lake District and went on to become an Olympian. Mordaunt Cohen led a unit of Muslim soldiers in the Far East during the very last days of the Second World War. Mr Cohen will be marking the 70th anniversary of VJ Day this weekend. Mr Helfgott is commemorating his fellow refugees at a special ceremony in Windermere. We too should pay tribute.
