Baseless idiocy

This newspaper is vigilant against antisemitism in all its forms. But much as we encourage everyone to call out antisemitism when it appears, it is also important that such accusations have some basis in reality.

It is difficult to think of any more ridiculous accusation than the idea that Sainsbury's is guilty of 'institutional antisemitism' because it has changed the price of its so-called 'meal deal'.

As it happens, the supermarket has actually cut the cost of kosher sandwiches. But this isn't about the price of food. It's about the sense - or complete lack of it - of some in our community.
