Goldstone's 'star witness'

Tom Gross has a devastating critique of the Goldstone report. Specifically, on Goldstone's 'star witness':

There are far too many inconsistencies, mistakes and unreliable witnesses cited
in the Goldstone report to list here. But to take one example, the man Goldstone
relies on in his report (paragraph 414) as his star witness to tell him the
paramilitary Hamas police were not combatants and therefore should be listed as
civilians, police spokesperson Islam Shahwan, is the same “police spokesperson
Islam Shahwan” who accused Israel of distributing libido-increasing chewing gum in Gaza in an
attempt to “destroy” the young generation of Palestinians.
