I was at Gatwick yesterday (long story - I had to get to Brighton and there were no trains from London) and saw two sets of Unite pickets. Both were being jeered by passers by.
I'd be surprised if this isn't the overwhelming majority view of what must be the most unjustified and self-wounding strike for years. Even when Bob Crow calls a train strike, he usually has the good sense to at least pretend it's about passenger safety. The BA strike is simply because the poor dears who work in 'cabin crew' don't want to have to work a bit harder.
If it wasn't for the fact that many thousands of hard working employees would also lose their jobs, I'd hope for nothing more than the collapse of BA and entirely self-inflicted job loss for the strikers.
