AP can't even get the basics right

We were hacked yesterday afternoon. For a few hours, there was a crazed message about Jews, vampires, Israel and usury. After trying to check the source of the hack, we took the decision to close the site until we had worked out who the culprits were and how they got in. We've now done that, and I'm pleased to say we are back up, with no lasting damage.

But one thing I've learned from this is how dreadful some reporters are. A chap - Raphael - called me from AP. I told him I had nothing to add to what he knew, because I didn't know anything, and that if he called me back later I'd update him. He asked me if I thought it could be related to last week's Israeli spat with Turkey. I don't want to speculate, I said, because I've absolutely  no evidence to go on.

This is how the idiot reported it:

Pollard said that the attack might be related to the diplomatic feud that
erupted between Israel and Turkey last week, but added: ''I don't want to
speculate.''
