Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is expecting her third child.

The Israeli actress, 35, shared the happy news with her 50.2 million Instagram followers on Monday.

Tel Aviv native Ms Gadot smiled as she posed in a family photo with her husband, Israeli real estate developer Yaron Varsano, and their two daughters Maya, three, and Alma, nine.

Ms Gadot, who served in the IDF for two years before embarking on a modelling and acting career, captioned the photo: “Here we go again.”

Fans speculated Ms Gadot might be pregnant during Sunday’s virtual Golden Globe Awards, when she appeared in a loose-fitting white gown to present the award for Best Foreign Language Picture.

Famous friends including Oscar winner Hilary Swank and Aquaman’s Jason Momoa offered their congratulations in the comments.

Ms Gadot, ranked by Forbes as the third-highest paid actress in the world in 2020, rose to fame after starring in the fourth Fast and Furious film.

She played Wonder Woman in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice before reprising her role in 2017’s Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984, released last year.

The former Miss Israel has lauded the character for inspiring her own daughters.

She told the Mirror: “Everything Wonder Woman stands for is brilliant. She stands for justice, peace, wisdom, love, acceptance and compassion.

“And all of these things are becoming rare in our world.

“When I tell my little one I have to go to work, she says, ‘For Wonder Woman?’ and then runs around the house kicking and boxing. She loves it.”

Ms Gadot is next set to star in the Kenneth Branagh-directed adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile and Red Notice, an action comedy, alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Ryan Reynolds.
