Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican Party presidential candidate, has tweeted a Magen David containing the words “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!” next to a picture of Hillary Clinton.
The graphic, which also included a background of $100 bills, was prefaced by the words “Crooked Hillary - - Makes History!”
The post was quickly deleted after it received a backlash online, to be followed by a near-identical tweet which had the Star of David replaced with a circle.
This was not the first time a tweet from Mr Trump’s account has sparked controversy in the Jewish community.
A promotional picture which his campaign blamed on an intern featured soldiers in Nazi uniforms alongside the words: “We need real leadership.”
