Thai police have confirmed that the explosives that injured an Iranian man earlier this week were meant for Israeli diplomats.

Israel has already made public its belief that Iran was behind the botched attack in Bangkok, another failed one in Georgia and a blast in Delhi on Monday.

Three Iranian men have been arrested in connection with the incident in Thailand, in which one of the attackers accidentally had his legs torn off in an explosion as he fled the scene.

Thailand's police chief, Prewpan Dhamapong, said that the devices used in Delhi and Bangkok were similar. He said: "This issue was about individuals and the targets were specific. This was something personal."
