Two Jewish writers have triumphed at this year's Oscars.
Aaron Sorkin picked up his first Academy Award for The Social Network, although he failed to mention the film's inspiration - Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg - in his acceptance speech.
Mr Sorkin won in the Best Adapted Screenplay category, while British writer David Seidler was given the trophy for Best Original Screenplay. Mr Seidler's win was the first for The King's Speech, the British film pundits have tipped to sweep tonight's ceremony.
Danish film-maker Susanne Bier won the award for Best Foreign Film.
